Who We Are
The Capitol Hill Energy Cooperative was formed in 2008 to address renewable energy and environmental issues that are of concern to neighbors in the Capitol Hill area of Washington, D.C.
We seek to reduce the carbon footprint of Capitol Hill Residents by promoting and educating the community about sustainable energy choices. The mission of the organization is tri-fold:
- Self-education on green issues.
- Promotion and facilitation of renewable energy products and installations or goods through negotiation for group discounts.
- Policy analysis and advocacy with the federal and DC governments to propose sustainable living solutions.
